So yesterday I showed you how to make a vegan caramel sauce, which is a dessert staple that could always be healthified. Today, I’m sharing with you a raw, vegan version of shortbread crust, which can be used as the base of all your favorite pies and cakes. On Monday, I’ll share a light, vegan filling to top the crust. Raw Shortbread Crust

Ingredients (Yields 1.5 cups or 1, 9-inch p)
- 3/4 cup shredded dried coconut (unsweetened)
- 3/4 cup walnuts
- 5-6 pitted medjool dates
- Dash of sea salt
Assemble the walnuts, dates, coconut flakes and sea salt.
Pit the dates and process all the ingredients until crumbly but able to hold together then pressed.
