Banana Mint Chocolate Bites


I’m always on the lookout for desserts that give me that post-meal sweetness I crave without overdosing on the sugar or fat. This is a fresh dessert or snack recipe that has just enough chocolate in there to satisfy your needs. The fresh mint adds an extra element of lightness that keeps your breath fresh and your palette cleansed. Enjoy!

Mint: soothes the digestive track, reduces the severity of stomach aches, eases IBS, slows the growth of harmful bacteria and fungi, plays a role in treating asthma and other allergies, contains cancer-fighting phytonutrient perillyl alcohol, and prevents the formation of colon, skin, and lung cancer.

Banana Chocolate Mint Bites

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients (Servings vary)

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 chocolate bar, melted
  • Coconut flakes
  • Small handful fresh mint, chopped


Form an assembly line of sliced banana, your favorite melted chocolate, coconut flakes, and parchment paper. Dip one end of the banana into the chocolate and immediately place atop coconut flakes so that the flakes stick to the melted chocolate end. Place, chocolate side down, on the parchment paper for cooling.




Serve with chopped mint.

    Yum, these look so great, how creative of you! I’ve never encountered mint like that… anywhere! Good for you for picking it up and taking full advantage of it. I probably would have made a boring casserole or something with it. This is far more exciting!
