It’s simply what I equate with comfort and immediately gets my mouth watering. I’ve made a pepper corn bread before, and using the same recipe, I simply added a few extra ingredients to the batter before cooking. Here’s how to prepare the extra add-ins:
- 1 white onion, diced
- 1 cup broccoli florets, roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Dash of salt
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the white onion to the olive oil. Season with salt and cook until the white onion becomes transparent. Add the broccoli florets and cook until the onion caramelizes and deepens in color. Remove from stove and add to the pepper corn bread batter. Enjoy!
