This salmon recipe is complemented by wilted bok choy. Bok choy is water-containing and replenishing. It levels your taste buds in between bites of heart-healthy salmon as well as adds a boost of earthy thyme. All it takes are a few seasonings to infuse the bok choy with delicious flavor, so you can get your greens in without the moan and groan. The salmon is prepared simply with a touch of teriyaki sauce, a match made in heaven! Enjoy!
Salmon glows in more ways than just its beautiful pink color:
Salmon: is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which help to treat and prevent inflammation, promote healthy joint cartilage, decrease chances of depression, and increase cognitive function. Salmon is also full of vitamin D, which plays a key role in lowering the risk of several types of cancer, including breast, prostate and colon cancer. Because of its fat content, salmon locks moisture into skin cells, which contributes to a more youthful look, including clearer skin and healthier hair (and decreased hair loss!). The fish is great for eye and cardiovascular health as well.

This salmon recipe is sure to tantalize your taste buds and bring some definition to fish night! You don’t need to add crazy, exotic ingredients or employ difficult cooking methods to change up a regular salmon recipe. All it takes are a few tweaks, perhaps just the addition of one seasoning, to make all the difference. I like to complement simply cooked salmon with sides that completely change the experience. Instead of bok choy, you can look into a low-carb mashed “potatoes” or vegan coconut creamed corn!
