So, nothing rectifies the absolutely sound decision to go to bed at 6am than an early morning (3 hours later) trek home that involves this:
…with my best friend in tow…
Sleepy doesn’t begin to describe it.
A 5 minute ferry ride from Asia to Europe.
When I got home, I was starving. I always have leftovers in the fridge for moments of hunger when I’d probably eat an entire jar of peanut butter in one sitting if I had it rather than take 3 minutes and go next door to get something healthier. Luckily, I  had me some takeout from Saf Restaurant, which I explored Saturday afternoon.
When I went, I just had a green juice and ordered a dish to take with me.
First up for my at-home meal was a Mexican Wrap. It is supposed to be entirely raw, but I’m pretty sure the actual wrap is made of white flour. The insides seemed raw to me–the beans were made of a spiced nut pate and there were salsa, avocado mash, sprouts and spinach to round it off. It was delicious! The greens were tossed in a tangy sauce that accentuated and brought together the entire dish. Loved it.
Bite!
+ 2 variations of eggplant salad, portioned side-by-side, that I picked up at a random shop on my way home. The left eggplant dish is the more traditional Turkish one with lots of oil and density. The right one is lighter and more lunch-oriented.
And some olives for a ‘munchin. These were seasoned with rosemary, thyme and cracked pepper.
Dining on my more than amazing meal with a million-dollar view:
Good views, good eats, and good night! I have some sleep to catch up on!
xoxo
