Sunday sun 🙂
After a nap on the roof…
I wanted a lil pick-me-up.
Wraps are great, but bread can be a bit too heavy for a snack, so I use lettuce leaves in its place!
Today, I made 2 different wraps – Sweet Nanner Wrap and Olively Wrap –one sweet, one savory, both hitting the spot 🙂
Sweet Nanner Wrap
Ingredients:
– 1/2 banana (eat the rest or freeze it for a smoothie later)
– 1/4 avocado
– 2 prunes, soaked and halved
– 1 tsp honey (optional)
– Sprinkle of salt
– 1 green leave (for the wrap)
Serves 1
Directions:
Place the green leave on a plate, and begin to layer the honey (I didn’t use any, but it would work well here), banana and avocado. Do not cut the banana, because its shape is convenient for eating.
Next top the wrap with a sprinkle of salt and the soaked prunes. You can soak them for a few hours and they’ll be ready to chew/digest more easily.
CHOMP CHOMP!
Light and yummy.
Then I wanted something more savory…
Olively Wrap
Ingredients:
– 1/4 avocado
– 3-4 pitted olives
– 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
– Sprig of dill
– sprinkle salt & pepper
Serves 1
Directions:
Like the first recipe, layer ’em up!
Voila!
Avocado acts as a creamy element that binds all the flavors together. The sweet and savory elements contrast each other simply and perfectly. Snack itch satisfied. Now back to getting more sun…
Enjoy!
