Sweet Sesame Banana

I love a breakfast that is sweet and light but can keep me full until the afternoon. Simple carbohydrates render me hungry hours, minutes…seconds later.

My walk to work would be bittersweet otherwise…

I like the sweet life, so I need a sweet boost that gives me more than just empty carbs.

Tahini (sesame seed paste) is a rich source of copper, magnesium and calcium. It’s a healthy fat and wonderful for relieving PMS symptoms. I love it best when it’s roasted. Raw tahini has its place, just not my preference 🙂

Sweet Sesame Banana Breakfast

Ingredients:

– 1 ripe banana, peeled
– 1 tsp honey
– 2 tsp tahini
– Small handful chopped walnuts
– Cinnamon (optional)

Directions:

Slice open the banana and slice width-wise into small pieces.

I like to make my presentation pretty. Lil circle for ya…

For the crunch, walnuts pair foodgasmically with banana.

Crush ’em as best you can with a knife.

Next comes the simple tahini-honey drizzle. Mix the two in a small bowl and drizzle atop the bananas.

Perfect portion, perfect textures, perfect breakfast!

xoxo!
