Chocolate Breakfast


Chocolate is always welcome in my kitchen. This recipe involves chocolate, coconut, banana, berries, and honey – and for breakfast, no less. This is a sweeter and more indulgent take on the traditional one-ingredient banana soft-serve. Enjoy first thing in the morning, as a snack, or for dessert.

Banana: benefits your heart and nerves due to the high dose of potassium, increases the performance of kidneys and bones, acts as a mood enhancer or mild sedative, is one of the highest sources of naturally available vitamin B6, and can help keep you “regular”.

Chocolate Soft-Serve

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1 heaping tsp cocoa powder
  • Berries for garnish


Peel and chop the banana and place into a ziplock bag. Let sit in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until frozen.


Blend all ingredients together in a food processor until smooth and fluffy.


Serve with a garnish of berries, coconut flakes, and cocoa powder.
